Paediatric Clinic (Providing health service for children from birth to the age of eighteen

Sick child visits – The day-to-day activity on outpatient basis provides treatment from Monday to Saturday starting from 8:00 am in the morning to 8:00 PM in the evening and all Sundays from 8:00 am to 5:00 PM in the afternoon.

Vaccination – We provide the regular routine immunization services for infants from birth to 15 months. The vaccines include

  • BCG and Oral Polio vaccine soon after birth or on initial visit.
  • Pentavalent vaccine containing (DPT, Hib, Hepatitis B vaccines),
  • Pneumococcal vaccine and Rota virus vaccines are given starting from 6th week and repeated doses on 10th week and fourteen weeks of age.
  • Measles vaccine given at 9th month and 15th month

Babies and children who are not sick are given regular appointments to have a scheduled medical Check up to enable early detection of any health-related issues and interventions from simple health education to medical supplementation or further detail medical workup depending on the findings from regular visits.

Our clinic provides basic laboratory services among which includes

  • CBC (Complete Blood Count), Liver function tests
  • Renal Function tests
  • Stool microscopy and H.Pylori stool antigen test
  • Urinalysis
  • malaria antigen test
  • Hepatitis B and C serological survey
  • Febrile antigens especially widal test.

Liaison with other health facilities-

This is especially true for referring children requiring admission or higher medical needs by communicating verbally with telephone call or by a written referral note. We also refer patients abroad on their demand or whenever the service is not available in this country.

Health education – we provide health education to parents on specific topics using personal communication to individuals and groups on specific topics regarding children on regular basis.

Nurses and physicians working in the clinic give health educations. We also use pre-recorded videos containing health information
